Something peculiar I noticed about my new eMachines
T3265
: it has a DVD burner but no DVD burning software. It has Roxio's
Easy CD & DVD Creator Basic edition included, so I assumed that meant it
created DVDs. Nope. EZCD Basic means "no DVD for you". So, I guess
removing the words "and DVD" were too hard, so they added the words, "VCD
Edition" to the DVD Creator program. What an interesting way to get people
to spend more money.

Thankfully, I already own a fine burning suite which can handle DVDs just
fine, Nero Burning ROM. Still, I wonder
how eMachines expects people to react when they find they can burn VCDs and
CD-Rs (and Data DVDs I assume) but not movie DVDs. Very odd.
