Abilene - The Pittsburgh of Texas

There have, to me, only been two reasons to go to Abilene - Olive Garden and CompUSA. CompUSA is gone now. That's just not right. On the other hand, they are putting a Best Buy into their mall. Still, Abilene sucks. I have absolutely no idea why anyone would ever live there. San Angelo, pissant town that it is, shines in contrast.

Oh, why did I go to this benighted burg, you ask? Well, my darling bride took the GRE today. The autograded portion was 1250, which I'm told is a stupendously good score. Not that I'm surprised, but she claims to be. :-)
