Windoze sucks

OK, now that I've committed to remaining in Windows for a while, it decides to get flakier than usual on me. At completely random times, generally when I'm talking to someone online so they get really annoyed at me, the computer will simply hang. No movement of the mouse, the NumLock and CapsLock keys don't even change the little lights on the keyboard, NOTHING.

I love being nagged by Windows that I should always shut down properly, when I would if I could.

I have the same problem with Windows 2000.. Annoys the hell out of me that I can't figure it out..

Meanwhile, how about that snow?

Holy crap! It's snowing in West Texas! I haven't seen snow in over 3 years. What in the world does Texas know about snow? People tailgate all the time here, nobody has snow removal equipment, yada yada. Should be an interesting time.

Lucky.. I haven't seen snow in 6. That's what I get for moving here from NY though. I swear, today I was the only person around who knew how to drive in the stuff, not to mention dragged out my chains 'just in case'. Funny. My neighbors laughed at me, then backed out of their driveway and hit a tree due to ice.. Doh!

I couldn't even find my ice scraper this morning.

I'm sure the expressway is a demolition derby. Silly southerners suck at snow. Nice alliteration, eh?

Oh, from what I understand, there were quite a few 'major' accidents in Abilene due to people hanging out their windows and taking pictures of the snow.

Imagine that mental picture, if you will.

Well, one of my coworkers got tangled in a multi-car accident on a bridge this morning. Apparently they aren't kidding with those "watch for ice" signs after all. :-)
