Pet peeve revisited
If the extra effort required to hit the shift key is too much for you, if the extra keystrokes necessary to spell out words instead of abbreviating them in random ways and using numerals in place of words is too tough, perhaps you shouldn't be using a medium of discourse that requires typing and a reasonable ability to express oneself in English?
Just a thought before I crash.

cud - could (cud is already a word)
ne - any (only one more letter, morons!)
n - and
b - be (only one more letter to make a word)
lyke - like (same number of letters)
tyme - time (same number of letters)
gunna - going to
dun - don't
wut - what (only one more letter)
As you can see, often they misspell things just to misspell them, not even shortening the words in any way. WTF? Why is this considered cool or a good idea? I (and most of the more experienced volunteers) end up ignoring anyone who can't convey a simple sentence clearly. Then, they get belligerent because "no1 heps me wit mai icons" or some such crap. :-)
