New tunes

Although stuck in Tampa for 3 weeks to do one day of work, I've got one bright spot: there's a new Concrete Blonde album! I was wandering through Border's, buying something to read, and saw the new CD. The whole lineup is together for the first time since 1994's Mexican Moon. Oh, happy day!

Of course, I'll have to listen to nothing but air handlers and boring old men tomorrow in the tent, but at least the CD player in the hotel is getting a workout now.

Userpics - no image editing program on this machine.

Adding friends - go to that person's userinfo page and choose the "add" icon (first button in the row).

There is a 3-CD changer in my hotel room, which now has Barenaked Ladies, Concrete Blonde, and Default in it. That Default album kicks ass, and the Concrete Blonde is very reminiscent of their early work, although not in the same league as "Free" from my first listen...

Hi Cynthia, nice to meet you. I feel like I know you anyhow as we have Gary as our special mutual friend. After reading my "Friends" entrys and the subsequent comments, I just figured that you knew Gar' more than just casual LJ conversations. So, I asked the insightful question. I'm happy to be a part of Gary's life and, again, nice to meet you finally. (I've heard many nice things about you.)
