Anyone else watch "American Idol" the other day? I forgot about it for a bit, but remembered on the way into work this morning.

I don't think the rest of the show will be as entertaining as the first auditions, because they've weeded out the folks who were painfully bad.

I loved hearing these poor people, trying to audition for a national contract when they couldn't hold a single note. If you can't sing, don't audition. Simple rule, in my opinion.

But, now the rest will be real competition between folks with some modicum of talent. That's just "Star Search" with a different attitude. I want more of that mean-spirited Brit trash-talking people. heh

I didn't watch any of American Idol, but I have to confess, I loved watching highlights the next day on Good Day LA. Especially the really BADLY talentless who kept trying to fight with the judges! God, some of those people were SO awful!

It was great. These shmoes come in, acting like the next Madonna, and they can't hold a note. Or, they choose songs with no actual singing in them, making it impossible to tell (in that a capella setting) whether they have any discernible talent at all.

The best was that one black girl who started in "oh no, you do NOT know what you are talking about, I can SING, okay?!". That chick cracked me up. :)

I've watched some of it. They can't sing or dance. But that's not why I'm really commenting. I just wanted to wish you a happy early father's day since you were really nice to me making 134565673456 icons for me.
