Is this a trend with all men, or just the ones I know?

After my first divorce (now there's a phrase I never expected to utter - where did my life go wrong?), my coworkers became convinced that I was not just a swinging single guy, but the ultimate mac daddy. I don't know where they got that impression, since I'm a big proponent of monogamy, or at least serial monogamy. :-)

Now that I'm separated, my coworkers have decided that every woman that comes into our office to get a soda is hitting on me, and I on her. What is wrong with these people? Are they just jealous because I don't seem to have a hard time finding dates? I don't get it.

opposite sex......

Apparently it isn't NORMAL to even be friends or friendly with the opposite sex without the rumors either. At my job, every male that I joke with and such, I am supposedly fucking. ANYWAY! If that was so true I would have had sex more then 3 times this year! :)

I think people just take being nice to other people as flirting.

I've always worked rather male dominated jobs and while I did get hit on an awful lot, there was always some kind of rumor that I had a scandalous relationship going on of some sort. In the end I think they were just looking for something fun to talk about.

I think Petra's hit it right on the head: people love to have something and someone to talk about. Even if they have to "invent" some of it.
Humans are huge gossips, especially humans who have to work in cubicled offices. It makes them feel better. :)

he's referring to me, unfortunately. If you knew anything of my drought, you'd understand my genuine joy in commenting on and (vicariously) living through Gar's adventures. No need to make anything up, just happy for him.

LOL! But dude, Gary says he's not HAVING any adventures!

Besides, we have to teach that boy HOW to select woman before he's allowed to date again. Everyone has to help create a "Gary's Prospective Date Background Exam"
Question One: Have you ever been diagnosed with a mental condition?
A) No B) Yes C) Which one of my personalities are you asking?
