New slang?

When my sister said it, I thought she was being weird. Now I've seen someone else using the word, so it must be a known slang term. But, why would you say "spendy" when "expensive" is not much longer? Really, spendy? Of course, the two people I've heard use this term are from Minnesota and Iowa, so maybe it's regional (I can hope).

I just thought of another term that already exists - pricey. Two syllables, and it has the benefit of being an actual real word. :-)

espensif...i say thatand im from FL.., and i just noticed it..lol, i guess im too lazy to say it the right way, watch its going to become a real word put in the dictionary..lol, just like "aint"

Spendy, indeed. What's wrong with pricey? Same number of syllables, but it's a real word. :-)
