Reviewers are dumb

Computer reviewers should really know of what they speak before writing an article as an expert in the field. From an article on Lindows:

The KDE desktop looks and feels like Windows, with a few exceptions. You have to double-click an icon on the desktop to get it to open, but only single-click an icon in the toolbar to get the same result.

Now, forgive me if I'm dense, but on the equivalent of the "toolbar" in Windows, the Quicklaunch Toolbar, do you single-click or double-click? Yeah, that's what I thought.

I'm sorry, but personally I feel that reviewers are 90% journalist and 10% geek. Now, if we could invert this make-up, than you'd have articles that are so over the heads of the the mass majority that the reviews would never get read. Just my two cents...

This may be true, but the complaint has no merit. In Windows, you double-click an icon on the desktop, but single-click on icon in the toolbar. SAME ACTION as KDE! Why is that weird to him? What does he use now, a Mac?

Proabably. Most folks in entertainment, media and publishing use Macs.
