Cake

Made another Black Forest Cake, this time using the correct type of chocolate for the mousse. Gave the wife a chance for a piece before I took it to work, but she declined.

Unsurprisingly, it was quite popular. I discovered something, though. The building I work in is notoriously chilly lately, but today it was quite warm inside. After 3 hours, the top half of the cake (or what was left by then) slipped off, due to the melting of the mousse on the third layer. Oops. Too bad we don't have a fridge there...

As an aside to any other Cafepress storeowners: has anyone sold anything? I'm sure Persis has, but how about anyone else? It seems silly that I get hundreds of hits on that page, but not a single sale. Oh, well, it was just a lark anyway, like the Amazon shopping link that never earned a dime either. :-P
