MS introduces Phone software - Viruses follow

As always with MS operating systems, the Microsoft Smartphone 2002 OS has been found vulnerable to security-aware hackers (you may call them virus-writers).

After the story last week about the one-minute boot time of the phone, and its interesting ability to not turn on when you push the ON button, this is pretty funny.

Get an MS phone, and you too could have the same joy of rebooting, crashing, and constant virus-updating as you get at home! Joy!

I am in awe. You'd think software as simple (and, one would hope, as crashproof) as this would be...well, if not immune, then at least resistant.

You wouldn't think there would be an initialization time longer than 2 seconds, not to mention the On/Off button should be used exclusively to turn it on or off. I'm pretty amused by the idea of someone hacking into their phone in order to spread mal-ware on the phone system. That's someone with way too much time on his hands.

Oh, I dunno - I mean, most virus writers could probably use a more legal hobby. Got to give this one props for finding a new niche, and filling it!
