The big problem with my job here wasn't the pay (that was actually set for a BIG upgrade if I stayed), but the constant travel. Not much point in having a house I'm never in and a family I see every other week. I'm not in the army anymore, I don't need that crap.
Now, enygma and I will be able to go out occasionally, with the in-laws to watch The Boy for us. We can act like we're a real couple, instead of a couple of people that tag-team childcare.
Are you not as observant as the rest of the population? I thought you and Gary and the rest of that bizarre high school group were such "good friends".
On the contrary, I an overly observant in most cases, but events in my life have kept my primary focus on the events happening in my life which I know my friends understand perfectly.
I understand that he has another girlfriend, I just wasn't aware that it had become serious enough to warrant a "We've"...
As for the 'bizarre high school group' comment, while rather rude and unwarranted, I prefer to think of us as ecclectic.
In the interest of keeping flames to a minimum, and at the request of my friend, I am going to opt out on commenting on your latest reply...
Gary, I hope the new job provides everything you need and more. After all, I mean, TEXAS? You couldn't pay me enough to live there, so I hope they are paying you more than enough.
I prefer snow in the winter to flatlands and armadillos... :) Check out the weather report my friend - we got 2 inches of the white stuff (and I don't mean columbian marching powder).
BTW, I am dropping you an email... Be on the look out!
Either way, both of you are going to have to have your teeth counted in a year, to make sure living in the sticks hasn't robbed you of them. ;) Especially Mike! :-D
Just curious, whats real estate like now in the Tucson area? I used to live in Catalina and I miss it....I was thinking of moving back or packing up and going to the big TX...Dallas or maybe Austin...
Tucson prices are pretty reasonable, actually. I was looking at houses there this summer/fall, and a 1200 sq ft place could be had for under 80 pretty reliably. Not too shabby. And Tucson is a cool little hippie town, too. I'm told Austin is the place to be, though.

Re: Camp
It doesn't look like I'll be there this year - I'll still be settling and looking for a house or something.

Am I out of the loop here? Who else is in this equation that equals a 'We've'?

Texas
Thanks for the concern, but they'll be paying me enough. Those free babysitters are a nice perk too.
