Livejournal Synch Test

I'm attempting to use the LJ-Synch plugin again. Let's see if it's working now.

What this means to you: adding the bunk_blog feed to your friends list should no longer be necessary, as I'll be able to synch new posts between my site and andysocial. Kind of neato keen.

Well, I've been posting rather erratically to LJ since I put Movable Type on my site. Now, I've changed from Movable Type to Wordpress, which has a plugin that lets me post to LJ and my site at the same time. Best of both worlds, ya see.

OK, I realize this may seem like a step back to when I had just LJ and embedded it into my site with a PHP hack, but it's not. Since I still don't trust LJ's permanence nor stability, I can be assured of having a permanent archive of my posts and comments (LJ's export only exports posts last I looked), and the server has been pretty reliable. Besides which, I can modify my site's appearance a lot more readily with CSS than I ever could with LJ's S2 style coding. So, it's not a step backwards, it really isn't. Can you tell I'm trying to convince myself of this? :-)

dude if it's working for you... power to you.

I wish I had the know how (and the server performance) to work that sort of a solution.

I just link my lj via the javascript into my web.
