Got a cool error from the military proxy server today:

bq. explicitly denied. Reason: art/culture

Yeah, we don't want any of that art and culture junk to get on-base!

Our filters won't let you go to the Hooter's restaurant homepage to find out where the nearest one is. The message is that it is banned for "sex/erotica."

But he FHM and Maxim magazine websites? Those are fine.

For a month or so, the Federation of American Scientists was blocked, with no explanation. Considering how frequently we refer to this site for guidance in where to find other resources, it was vexing. I'm still curious as to what was so offensive about the site.
