If you don't mention Leonard Wood, I won't mention McClellan. *Sixteen* weeks of Basic/MP School was hardly living by anyone's standards either.

I did spend five or six years in the intelligence community. I started that phase with the State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR), then NRO, and finally a very short stint with NIMA (now NGA).
