I was planning to take those photos already but probably wasn't planning on sharing then. Then I read about Nikki's quest and it was so fun I decided to do it too. It's all about fun and making friends.

Is anyone actively on livejournal not an attention slut? It takes a certain level of vanity to think anyone would want to read the random drivel that comes out of your brain and out of your life. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing. The desires to be understood and accepted are pretty fundamental. I think it'd be interesting if sentience and technology had developed in a non-social species, say sea turtles. No nurtering of young, no big packs of creatures. But then, if they didn't need to get along with each other, why would they develop sophisticated communication?
