On the one hand, I really dislike military chic; sleek young things whom any recruiter would be overjoyed to see walk into his office toting around issue-inspired gear makes me want to send said models draft notices forthwith. What's that, you say, we don't have a draft any more? Well, kids, for you we'll make an exception.
On the other hand, I hate all the trendy toxic yuppie plastic drinkware so much. So this is better than that. A bit.

The trend of green stuff is really great to see, but 30 bucks for a canteen that holds 3 cups or an insulated one that holds only 17 ounces of water? They somehow made the cheap, 1.5 quart canteen of my Army days somehow less useful yet much more expensive. The Sigg 33 oz bottle is cheaper and doesn't look quite so doofy.
