LJ oddness

So, riddle me this: Why do some folks start a second (or more) journal on LJ, and cease using their old one? Would it not be easier to delete old entries or make posts friends-only, depending on what you're attempting to accomplish?

For that matter, why do so many people monitor their "Friend of" list and get offended when someone they've never met has stopped reading their journal for reasons not stated?

Just random rants. Please continue with what you were doing.

I think they should start calling the "friends" thing an "acquaintance" thing instead..........might reduce the number of hurt feelings ;)

Or the "watched by" thing they do for Communities. That would remove the stigma of your "friends" abandoning you. Just view the whole LJ thing as performance art. Some people's art appeals to some, but not to others. No big deal.

....from where I am not sure, but I have to comment on this entry. I couldn't agree with you MORE! To me it's a glorified Bookmark that has absolutely no monumental value.
I took someone off my journal yesterday because I was sick of reading their "Fuck this and Fuck that" (pardon my french) attitude. Anyway, they took it totally personally and went off on me.
My whole thought on this is, why should I have to read that crap just because I am afraid to hurt their feelings by taking them off. It's my journal and I should have the perogative to take anyone off at any given time without feeling guilty in fear of offending them ..ya know?
It's so damn stupid!
Some people worship the LJ like it was the bible or something. *rolls eyes*
It just gets me sometimes. It's suppose to be all in fun. Not taken so seriously.
