Househunting
OK, so the first house we put a bid on we lost due to the rapacious greed of the seller. Well, maybe just the incredible short-sightedness of the seller and the willingness of another buyer to pay that much.
Second house, we didn't get the bid in before it was under contract to someone else, even though the place had been on the market for months. Figure the odds.
Now, we have put a bid on a very nice place with an enormous backyard. Sure, the place has been painted pink on the outside and neither of us is named Mellencamp. But, overall, very nice and we offered a decent price for it. Now, we have to wait and see. I hate waiting. She hates waiting. He is very bad at waiting. But, we have no choice, darn it.
Anyone want to send us some good vibes? :-)
We are buying the house. We kick ass. Woohoo!

Kitchens and colors
The color is gonna have to change, but I'm not sure to what. We were talking about either hunter green or navy blue. We'll burn that bridge when we come to it.

And daymn...that house is CHEAP. A house like that up here would run $180,000 -- at least.
The house I bought (just over 1400 sq. ft.) was $170,000...but only because I bought it from my parents. I'll have to post pictures soon.
Anyway...I'm sending good vibes your way. Once they accept your offer, the rest is CAKE. Buena suerte!

Cheap is a relative term
What's truly strange is that in San Angelo, where we were most recently, this 86,900 house would probably list for 65,000. So, to us, this market is overpriced compared to other small towns.
Tick tick tick...

So, does this eman, you two are settled in Sierra Vista?
Settled
Seriously, the job I've got is decent, we're hitting the residency requirements for school in the next few months, and I'm not getting a kick-ass job until I get a degree. Same for
