OK, so the first house we put a bid on we lost due to the rapacious greed of the seller. Well, maybe just the incredible short-sightedness of the seller and the willingness of another buyer to pay that much.

Second house, we didn't get the bid in before it was under contract to someone else, even though the place had been on the market for months. Figure the odds.

Now, we have put a bid on a very nice place with an enormous backyard. Sure, the place has been painted pink on the outside and neither of us is named Mellencamp. But, overall, very nice and we offered a decent price for it. Now, we have to wait and see. I hate waiting. She hates waiting. He is very bad at waiting. But, we have no choice, darn it.

Anyone want to send us some good vibes? :-)

Update:

We are buying the house. We kick ass. Woohoo!

It's got a great kitchen :-) ... if you guys get it ... what color do you WANT it to be? Pink is always good when trying to give directions - LOL

I agree...awesome kitchen...so many cabinets. And weird colored houses are good for giving directions...my house is TURQUOISE with brown shutters painted with Norweigan flowers. EVERYONE knows where I live.

And daymn...that house is CHEAP. A house like that up here would run $180,000 -- at least.

The house I bought (just over 1400 sq. ft.) was $170,000...but only because I bought it from my parents. I'll have to post pictures soon.

Anyway...I'm sending good vibes your way. Once they accept your offer, the rest is CAKE. Buena suerte!

Oh, and just to clarify...the turquoise house is NOT the house I bought. I'm living here until the remodel is done.

congrats...sheds are fun for little kids, lol, me and my brother used to play in our shed all the time, even w/ all the crap thats piled in there...i know my mom used to leave us in just our pants, no underwear when we were potty-training, and if we wet ourselves, we stayed in our wet pants for awhile, and i guess it convinced us that we didnt wanna be wet, so we learned to use the bathroom....anyway good luck w/ the house and the potty training
